Cold weather doesn’t mean you have to stick to a dark wardrobe. Here are some tips on how to style pink pants for the winter season.

Today, I’m here to pull you out of your comfort zone and get out of the habit of ONLY wearing dark clothes during the cold weather months. We tend to associate certain colors with certain seasons, which means we inherently limit our wardrobe. If you think pink pants are just for spring and summer, think again! Pair your pink pants with neutrals

This is the easiest way to wear pink pants in winter. For this look I went with a contrasting black turtleneck. You could also do a winter white, navy or even hunter green top. Pairing a bright or soft color with the colors of the season help them look less out of place.

Wear your favorite boots

A good pair of boots instantly make any outfit look winter chic. I’m of course wearing my favorite Franco Sarto knee high boots with this pair of pants. This combo looks very chic and effortlessly stylish. There are so many styles of boots you can try several different shoes and pull off totally different looks. Imagine this look with a pointed toe snake print boot…sis! My pants are ankle length already but if yours are longer, I recommend cuffing them to get the right amount of boot to show.

Long sleeves and layers

Even if you choose not to go the turtleneck route, you should absolutely wear a long sleeved top. Much like the traditional “Seasonal” colors, long sleeve tops make your pink pants more wearable in winter. You can go with a button down shirt, blouse or knit top. Any of those options will make your look very winter friendly. Our most recent post talked about layering pieces (read that post here) and layers are key to a good winter look. You could throw on a light coat like I did for this look (coat by BooHoo for under $30) or you could go with a blazer or gilet. Layering pieces make all the difference when it comes to pulling your look together.

Venturing out can be so inspiring and you’d be surprised how well it can go over at the office. Pairing a standout piece with the classics creates the perfect synergy for a great look.
